  • This is what it looked like as we drove through NE Colorado, and Wyoming. High, flat plains.
  • This picture was taken from the gas station we stopped at in Laramie, Wyoming.
  • Here's Jessie at the same gas station - it was a Phillips 66, but it was called "Gunslinger 66". :)
  • The highways we traveled today weren't very busy. This was a potty stop. I thought I'd walk out in the highway and shoot a photo.

  • Mt. Rushmore is an incredible tourist attraction with tons of people and enough space and concessions for all of them.

  • A piece of the granite that was "removed" from the statue. Note where the drill was used to break it away.
  • They've got a long way to go...
  • In the foreground is a 1/32 version of the statue of Crazy Horse that is being carved out of granite. In the background is the actual granite version. Only the face has been completed (and a lot of granite removed).
