  • Here are all four.
  • The rest of us got shirts from Chris indicating that we aren't that old yet. Some of aren't even close. :)
  • Our taxi for leaving Venice.

  • The "road" is only as wide as you can see between these posts, so the boats pass near each other and are constantly crossing wake. The ride is still amazingly smooth.
  • Inside the taxi.
  • The four of us extended the first day's warm up ride. Here we are before we embark.
  • We biked about 1000 feet up from our hotel on the first day of riding to get warmed up. This is the view from 1/2 way up looking down at the town we stayed in. Our hotel is right next to the tall clock tower you can just make out.
  • The first day of riding (Monday) was supposed to be just a 3 mile warm-up to see how the bikes fit and worked. Steve got us to ride up the beginning of a ride he wanted to take on Tuesday - the Passo di Giau. The first day we rode up to Pecol. It was about 1,000 feet of clmbing and gorgeous.
  • This is where we turned around the first day. We're 6 km from Cortina where our hotel is and 11 km from Passo di Giau where we will ride on Tuesday after the organized bike ride.
  • The view from half way back down to Cortina. The town is in the foreground. Our hotel was right next to the clock tower that can be seen right in the middle of the town.
  • Listening to our daily instructions before the ride.
